Looking after it
It arrives ready to display. Top the water up every day or two and replace it completely every few days — pour the old water out and refill rather than adding to it. Keep it off a sunny windowsill and out of the path of the air-conditioning. Lily pollen stains fabric, so pinch out the orange anthers as each flower opens. The buds along the stem will keep opening over several days.
