Looking after it
The stems sit in soaked floral foam, so no vase is needed. Pour a little water into the box every day or two to keep the foam damp — enough to moisten it, never enough to pool. Keep the box out of direct sun and away from ripening fruit, which quietly shortens the life of cut flowers. Orchid sprays are the longest-lasting flowers here and often outlive everything around them — lift them out at the end and re-use them in a small vase.
