Sweet pink dahlias, ruffled ranunculus and button chrysanthemums gathered in a compact hatbox — a charming little gift that punches well above its size. Looking after it
The stems sit in soaked floral foam, so no vase is needed. Pour a little water into the box every day or two to keep the foam damp — enough to moisten it, never enough to pool. Keep the box out of direct sun and away from ripening fruit, which quietly shortens the life of cut flowers. Dahlias are thirsty and drink heavily in the first day or two, so check the water more often at the start than you would expect to.
