Looking after it
Unwrap it, trim about 2 cm from each stem at an angle, and stand the bouquet in a clean vase of fresh water. Re-cut the stems and change the water every couple of days, and keep the vase out of direct sun and away from the air-conditioning. If the outermost petals look bruised, peel them away gently — those are guard petals that protect the bloom in transit, and the rose beneath is perfect.
