Looking after it
It arrives ready to display. Top the water up every day or two and replace it completely every few days — pour the old water out and refill rather than adding to it. Keep it off a sunny windowsill and out of the path of the air-conditioning. If the outermost petals look bruised, peel them away gently — those are guard petals that protect the bloom in transit, and the rose beneath is perfect.
